Description
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use Reiki. In fact, Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not. Some of the most profound benefits are: releasing stress healing from emotional trauma supporting and enhancing physical healing detoxing the body releasing suppressed emotions (anger, sadness,...) strengthening the immune system clearing the mind and improving focus assisting in spiritual growth What does a reiki session look like? A typical reiki session takes about 60 minutes. In a short chat you will be invited to inform the practitioner about any symptoms you want addressed. You’ll be advised to lie down, fully clothed. The practitioner will gently move their hands around your body. Each hand position is held until the practitioner senses that the energy has stopped flowing. Usually there won’t be any talking during the session. While most people feel the effects of reiki right away, others may feel the impacts after their session. Common feelings include tingling, warmth, and deep relaxation. (You may even fall asleep because you become so relaxed and wake up from your session with a new sense of awareness, clarity, and/or connection.) This practice will also continue to shift and change and feel slightly different every time, similar to a meditation. Trust that your experience is exactly what it needs to be on that day. Sometimes a single session can be enough, but a series of sessions is advised to work on deeper issues. Please Note : * Be on Time!
